

Rio Grande Turkey
Wildland Hunting co. offers fully guided and outfitted Rio Grande Turkey hunts in some of the most beautiful landscapes the central coast has to offer. Immerse yourself in picturesque lancscapes that Wildland hunting co leases including ancient oak trees intertwined with native grasses and farm fields. We use traditional calling methods with blind and decoy stands. Typically starting in the field 30 minutes before daylight strategically placing our blind and decoys in pre scouted locations close to roost trees calling birds out of the trees to our locations. Throughout the day we will travel leases locating gobbling toms to call in also utilizing spot and stalk methods. Indulge in the thrill of calling in these magnificent birds with Wildland hunting co.
Rio Grande Turkey Hunt
$1,500 single hunter
$1,100 (2-10 hunters)

● Two days of turkey hunting
● Opportunity of one bird per hunter
● Transportation to and from the field
● Snacks and drinks in the field
● Beginner to Experienced hunter
● Field dressing and skinning of animal
*Ride Along guests will be an additional $200 per day (unless they are under the age of 16)
*Wounded animal policy (if an animal is hit and not recovered it will count as your hunt).
"Full Package" Rio Grande Turkey Hunt
$1900 per hunter

● Two days of lodging and meals
● Opportunity of one bird per hunter
● Transportation to and from the field
● Snacks and drinks in the field
● Beginner to Experienced hunter
● Field dressing and skinning of animal
*Add a Ride Along guest to the “full package” experience(meals and lodging) for $600 per day
*Wounded animal policy (if an animal is hit and not recovered it will count as your hunt).
Hunting Schedule
Wildland Hunting co. runs these hunts on a two day schedule hunting these birds primarily in the spring season, when the birds are more responsive to calling methods, but we do offer hunts in the fall season. The fall season starts the second saturday of November extending for 30 consecutive days and the spring season begins the last Saturday in March extending for 37 consecutive days with an extended two week season for archery and junior hunters. Our guests can expect to be in the field 30 minutes before daylight hunting until 5 p.m.(CA Fish and Game regulation).
What to Bring
● Valid California hunting license
● Upland Game Stamp validation
● Shotgun or Archery equitment
● Non lead Turkey ammuniton if using a shotgun
● Warm camouflage clothing preferably gloves and facemask as well
● Good hiking boots
